MIS PLANNING ENGINEEER

Job Summary
• The MIS Planning Engineer – Packing Plant is responsible for data management, operational planning, and reporting within the packing department.
• The role ensures data accuracy, coordinates packing volumes planning, and drives performance optimization through KPI analysis.
• The position plays a key role in decision-making by providing accurate analysis and dashboards to management.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Management Information System (MIS)
• Collect, consolidate, and analyze packing plant production data.
• Maintain and update databases (ERP, SAP, SAGE X3, or internal systems).
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly dashboards (production, dispatch, stock, equipment performance).
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Planning & Coordination
• Develop packing schedules based on production plans and sales forecasts.
• Coordinate with Production, Logistics, and Sales departments to align output volumes.
• Monitor stock levels (bulk cement, bagged cement, empty bags).
• Anticipate deviations between planned and actual production.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
• Track KPIs such as:
o Packing machine efficiency
o Equipment availability
o Breakdown rates
o Bag consumption
o Shift productivity
• Analyze variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare reports for management (DCP / Plant Manager).
Continuous Improvement
• Identify optimization opportunities within packing and dispatch operations.
• Participate in automation and digitalization projects.
• Propose data-driven process improvements.
Operational Support
• Support the Packing Plant Manager in operational decision-making.
• Train teams on accurate data entry and reporting procedures.
• Ensure compliance with internal standards and procedures.

Key Skills
Education and Work Experience
• Master’s degree in (or equivalent) in Industrial Engineering/ Management Information Systems (MIS)/ Data Analysis / Statistics
• Minimum of Five (5) years of professional experience in an industrial environment.
Experience in cement manufacturing or heavy industry is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, etc.).
