HSE / LOGISTICS & DATA ENTRY ASSISTANT

Under the responsibilities of the Camp Manager, the Junior HSE will play an important role in ensuring smooth day-to-day site operations, compliance with safety protocols, and disciplined data management. To this end, his main activities will be :

HSE Support
- Assist OHS with implementation and monitoring of HSE policies and safe work procedures;
- Participate in daily/weekly safety toolbox meetings and provide input or observations;
- Conduct or accompany field safety inspections and help document findings;
- Assist in incident reporting, close-out of corrective actions, and recordkeeping;
- Support tracking and distribution of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE);
- Contribute to drills, emergency preparedness activities, and housekeeping standards;
- Ensure first aid kits, fire extinguishers, Smoke detectors etc., are checked and documented;

Logistics & Field Coordination
Assist with scheduling and tracking transport of personnel, samples, fuel, supplies, and equipment.
Support camp supplies planning (water, food, diesel, lubricants, PPE, etc.).
Coordinate with suppliers, mechanics, and drivers under supervision.
Assist in maintaining inventory control registers and usage reports.
Help organize storage areas, spares inventory, consumables and field material.
Keep records of fuel consumption, mileage logs, vehicle maintenance tracking.
Travel, support the safe movement of visitors, contractors, and workers to/from site.

Data Entry & Administration
Accurately enter safety logs, training records, stock movement logs, inspection checklists etc;
Manage digital and physical filing systems; maintain traceability and confidentiality;
Support daily and weekly reporting for management (HSE, logistics, operations dashboards);
Assist with timesheets, attendance registers, and vehicle usage forms;
Verify data from field teams and raise discrepancies for clarification;

Profil du poste

Degree or diploma in Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, Quality or related field ;

Minimum two years experience in HSE activities ; one year in logistics and general administration; mining/exploration support is an advantage;

Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, email and basic digital record management;
Familiarity with safety culture or willingness to undertake HSE training;
Strong attention to detail; disciplined approach to documentation;
Driving license with about 4 years practice experience in driving ; experience in driving long distances is an advantage;
Able to organize tasks, meet deadlines and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams;
Physical fitness and willingness to be present in field settings (outdoors);
